About Trent, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

A town situated in Taylor County, Texas, Trent has an estimated population of more than 340 residents and is part of the Abilene Metropolitan Statistical Area. The arrival of the Texas and Pacific Railroad led to the town being formed in 1881. A post office was established two years later, but the population dropped to a meager 300 residents from 1,200 due to the Great Depression.

For decades, the population of Trent has remained at this level but a small number of people do visit the town every year. To get a taste of the areas rich history, head to the nearby Pioneer Museum followed by the Grace Cultural Center and Museum in Abilene. Trent is also in close proximity to a number of other historical landmarks like East Hawley Center Historic District and Sweetwater Commercial Historic District.

The easy-to-get-to Panhandle South Plains Fair offers various pleasant diversions to residents. The town’s local fairgrounds are ideal for kid-friendly recreation options. There are also a selection of parks to see for those who love the outdoors. Furthermore, the close by Haskell County Library offers a huge collection of books, magazines and DVDs to choose from. As far as education is concerned, the town is served by the Trent Independent School District.

The town of Trent receives 25 inches of rainfall and 4 inches of snowfall per year. With the average high in the summer season around 94 degrees, having an air conditioner is necessary to lower the temperature within your home and keep your family comfortable. In addition, since the mercury drops as low as 29 degrees in the winter season, it is highly recommended that you invest in a quality heat pump to keep your home warm during the cool, breezy days and nights of winter.
